Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support a quality school-age childcare program. You will assist with program development, supervision, and safe operation under the Childcare or Program Director's guidance.

Responsibilities include implementing age-appropriate activities, maintaining good staff and parent relations, and ensuring compliance with DelaCare regulations and organizational policies. Part-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and able to meet position requirements.
• First Aid/CPR Certification, or completion within two months of hire.
• School Age Site Assistant/Coordinator certificates as required by level.
• Ability to drive an 8-passenger van with a clean license and points below threshold.
• Background checks including FBI and state child abuse registry as per DelaCare.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of quality school-age childcare programs.
• Ensure programs adhere to state licensing and safety guidelines.
• Deliver age-appropriate activities reflecting core program areas.
• Supervise children and maintain positive relationships with parents and staff.
• Act as a positive role model and comply with organization policies.
