Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program for children ages 6–12. The role reports to the Childcare or Program Director and emphasizes safety, engagement, and adherence to Delaware licensing rules.

Responsibilities include delivering age-appropriate activities, coordinating with staff and parents, and modeling positive behavior.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level I/II/III certificates as outlined in the job posting.
• First Aid/CPR certification or completion within two months of hire.
• Ability to drive an 8-passenger van is required for Level II/III.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and operating a quality school-age childcare program compliant with Delacare rules.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs reflecting Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware core areas and Youth Development Strategy.
• Ensure safe implementation of all programs and supervise children ages 6–12.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school faculty and staff and other visitors.
• Present yourself as a positive role model and adhere to policies and regulations.
