Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies for patients, following provider orders and adhering to radiation safety practices. The role involves patient positioning, protecting staff and patients, and documenting encounters in the EMR using PACS and RIS tools.

Preferred qualifications include ARRT certification and state licensure, with BLS required. The position may require travel to other Bon Secours facilities and involvement in lab tests

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required or registered with ARRT.
• State licensure preferred where the job is performed.
• BLS certification required or obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up equipment, immobilization devices, and ensures patient safety.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR and uses imaging systems.
• Selects appropriate technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Travel to other Bon Secours facilities as needed and assist with lab tests and scheduling.
