Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a trained X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiography under provider orders. You will work within the EMR/EHR system, adhere to safety protocols, and assist in patient care across multiple facilities as needed.

Qualifications include ARRT certification and an associate degree; BLS certification is required or preferred. Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS is beneficial, and the role may involve travel to different Bon Secours sites.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required; state licensure preferred.
• BLS certification required or preferred at hire.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with correct patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up and adjusts equipment; positions patients safely and professionally.
• Documents patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Selects appropriate technical factors to protect patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills, collects specimens, and may travel to other facilities as needed.
• Maintains sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Reports equipment malfunctions or needs for repair to supervisor.
• Performs duties such as supplies ordering, registrations, scheduling, and scribing as needed.
