Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies per provider orders. The role requires ARRT certification and an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, with a preference for EPIC/PACS experience and BLS.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, safety, EMR documentation, equipment maintenance, and potential travel to off-site facilities as needed. Strong communication and infection control are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification/registration required.
• State licensure preferred depending on location; Virginia example noted.
• 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper positioning and shielding.
• Sets up immobilization equipment and positions patients with safety and professionalism.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Travels to other facilities as needed to support providers.
