Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies on patients per provider orders. This multi-skilled clinical professional works within the scope of practice to support patient care under provider direction.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure preferred, and BLS. Duties include patient positioning, radiation protection, EMR documentation, equipment setup, and may involve travel to other facilities to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT (required)
• State Licensure preferred (varies by state)
• BLS certification required or preferred by hire

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper positioning and protection.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment for patient safety.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR accurately.
• Selects appropriate electronic/technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• May travel to other Bon Secours Mercy Health facilities to meet patient care needs.
