Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies under provider orders. You will document encounters in the EMR and assist with patient care within the radiology department.

The role requires ARRT certification and state licensure is preferred. A year of radiology experience and familiarity with EPIC EHR/PACS are encouraged. Travel to off-site facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT is required.
• State licensure is preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed.
• BLS from American Heart Association is preferred upon hire and must be obtained before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up equipment and immobilization devices as required; maintains safe patient handling.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR.
• Determines appropriate technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Travel to other facilities and adjust hours as needed to meet patient care needs.
