Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an X-ray Technician to perform provider-ordered radiographic studies and document patient encounters in the EMR. The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with an emphasis on patient safety and accurate imaging in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should have an ARRT-certified program background and may travel to other facilities as needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for effective patient care and collaboration with providers.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state licensure required/preferred
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required (upon hire)
• Associate degree in radiologic technology preferred
• 1 year radiology experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment; ensures patient safety and professionalism
• Accurately documents patient encounters within EMR
• Determines and selects electronic factors to safeguard patient and equipment
• May travel to other facilities and adjust hours per patient care needs
• Maintains sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor promptly
• Performs duties such as ordering supplies, scheduling, patient registration and basic scribing as needed
