Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and assist in patient care under provider direction. The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure preferred, and BLS within hire or after start. The technician will operate EMR and PACS, ensure radiation safety, and support off-site travel as needed.

The position emphasizes accurate documentation, patient positioning, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state licensure (preferred)
• BLS certification preferred at hire (must obtain)
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely perform provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Set up equipment, position patients and ensure safety.
• Document patient encounters in EMR.
• Select technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Travel to off-site facilities as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Assist with lab tests and specimen collection.
