Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and support patient care under provider direction. The role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and strong patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities include safe exam performance, image documentation in EMR, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. On-site position with travel to affiliated facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT required
• State Licensure preferred (if state requires)
• BLS certification preferred or required before direct patient care
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (ARRT accredited) preferred
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) preferred
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and PACS preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely perform provider-ordered radiographic examinations with correct patient positioning and radiation protection
• Set up and adjust immobilization equipment; ensure patient safety and professionalism
• Document patient encounters in the EMR
• Select proper electronic/technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment
• Travel to other facilities as needed and assist in workload coordination
• Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination
• Assist with orders, lab tests, supplies, scheduling, and scribes as needed
