Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and support patient care under provider orders. You will prepare equipment, ensure safety, document encounters in the EMR, and collaborate with clinical teams to deliver efficient, high-quality imaging services.

Certified radiologic technologist with ARRT, VA licensure preferred, BLS required. Travel to other facilities may be required and EPIC/PACS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• Virginia state licensure preferred (required where applicable)
• BLS certification required or pending from AHA-approved source

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation protection
• Sets up equipment and immobilization devices for each case
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR
• Assesses and selects factors to safeguard patient and equipment
• Travels to other facilities as needed and supports lab testing
• Practices sterile technique and maintains infection control
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor
• Performs additional duties such as supplies ordering, registration, and scribing as needed
