Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Virginia is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies and document results in the EMR under provider orders. You will position patients, ensure safety, and support lab and diagnostic tasks as needed.

Requirements include ARRT certification with state licensure preferred in VA, BLS if hired, and 1 year of radiology experience. Travel to off-site facilities may be required; EPIC EHR and PACS familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certification and ARRT registration required; state licensure preferred in Virginia.
• BLS - American Heart Association preferred at hire.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• Training in EPIC EHR and PACS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform provider-ordered radiographic exams with proper positioning.
• Set up equipment, immobilization devices and ensure patient safety.
• Document patient encounters in EMR accurately.
• Determine proper technical factors safeguarding patient and equipment.
• Travel to off-site facilities and adapt hours to meet patient needs.
• Maintain sterile technique; handle supplies and laboras needed.
