Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT (required)
• State Licensure (preferred, Virginia state rules apply)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required)
• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program (preferred)
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
• EPIC EHR and PACS training (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up equipment, immobilization devices, and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR accurately.
• Determines and selects appropriate technical factors for safe imaging.
• May travel to off-site facilities to support providers and adjust hours as needed.
