Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Handles messages related to authorizations, questions, prescriptions, and test results; triages and returns calls promptly.
• Uses EPIC to arrange in-person appointments, procedures, and virtual visits.
• Verifies insurance and PCP information at scheduling.
• Ensures referrals and prior authorizations are in place before appointments.
• Manages front desk tasks: check-in/check-out, co-pays, and document handling.
• Maintains daily schedule and coordinates with care team to optimize patient throughput.
• Notifies patients of issues prior to their appointment.
• Documents telephone encounters in EPIC and communicates with providers.
• Notifies Admitting Department of patient admissions from clinic.
• Monitors messages and emails and disseminates information.
• Keeps inventory and orders office and clinic supplies.
