Job summary

Auburn University Montgomery is seeking a part-time Student Events Assistant to organize inventory, assist with event setup and execution, and monitor attendance on campus. You’ll support staff guidelines, ensure safety and compliance, and contribute to a welcoming student environment.

Must be enrolled at AUM with at least two semesters remaining and be available for morning/afternoon or evening shifts. Prior event coordination or customer service is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • Requires good judgment and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be enrolled at AUM with at least two semesters remaining.
  • Previous event coordination or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be available during standard event hours at least three days per week: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be enrolled at AUM with at least two semesters remaining. Previous event coordination or customer service experience preferred but not required. Must be available during approximate standard event hours at least three days per week: Morning/afternoon shift 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, or Evening shift 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

  • Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled shifts
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, transport equipment using carts, and perform hands-on tasks
  • Comfortable speaking to groups and providing clear instructions to event participants
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player
