Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery is seeking Athletics Gameday Staff to serve as the face of AUM during home athletic events, primarily evenings and weekends. You will work with Athletics staff and may assist with special events, gameday operations, and campus representation.

Responsibilities include gameday operations across concessions, ticketing, camerawork, scoreboard operations, and related duties, with trainings at season start.

Responsibilities

1. Athletics Gameday Staff Team members are student workers who willwork directly with the Department of Athletics staff to serve asthe face of AUM during home athletic events hosted on-campus, whichare typically evenings and weekends. Team members may also be askedto help with AUM Athletics special events and departmentrepresentation at campus.
2. Work as a part of the Athletics GameDay Operations team assigned to the area of most need on each gameday
3. Attend and participate in scheduled trainings at the start ofeach season
4. Be on-time and work all scheduled events
5. Be anengaging, welcoming representative of AUM and AUM Athletics forfans, visiting teams, and other attendees
6. Assist with general AUMAthletics gameday responsibilities, including: gameday operations,concessions, ticketing, camerawork/live stream production,scoreboard operations, marketing, other Athletics Communicationsduties, and other various AUM Athletics duties and tasks asassigned.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment andexcellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred candidates are those that wish to work in Athletics(College or Professional), Marketing, Business, Food ServiceManagement, or are looking for ways to improve their skills and theAUM campus. Few events will be during regular business hours,therefore, candidates must be available to work on nights andweekends.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants with a special interest in Athletic Communications whodemonstrate relevant advanced knowledge, skills and abilities mayalso be able to execute additional responsibilities. AdvancedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Advanced Duties &Responsibilities include:

• Photography or Videography GraphicDesign / Proficient experience with Adobe Creative Suite GameFilming and/or BlueFrame Technology video streaming
• Broadcastingexperience
• Experience using NCAA Live Stats, StatCrew and PrestoSports Statistics Software
• Sport specific rules knowledge andscore board operations for one or more sport of AUM’s 12 varsityports
• Experience using Vivenue Ticketing or similar onlineticketing platform
• Other experience with Concessions/FoodService, Special Events or Game Operations
