Meta is seeking an Integration Engineer to lead and deliver Workday integrations across HR and payroll ecosystems. You will partner with People Engineering to scale business processes and enhance data flows between internal systems and Workday, driving measurable efficiency gains.

The role requires deep Workday expertise, a track record of successful implementations, and a focus on responsible AI practices to ensure quality and unbiased outcomes across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience working in Workday.
• At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience.
• 6+ years building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors.
• 6+ years experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields.
• 6+ years of experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors.
• Experience with Workday Extend based applications and orchestrations.
• Demonstrated ability to apply responsible AI practices such as bias mitigation and quality reviews.

About

Meta's People Engineering Team has the responsibility of building applications and experiences for Meta's engineers, who change the world. Workday sits at the middle of all people data and integrates with dozens of internal applications and hundreds of external systems.As an Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in re-imagining productivity by shipping transformative products that serve Meta’s employees and business groups. The ideal candidate will question common assumptions, rethink existing design, configurations, and view every challenge as an opportunity for system improvements. You will have the opportunity to scale business processes, evaluate current architecture, and solve complex business problems for HR and Global Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on large collections of Workday integrations
• Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations
• Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment life-cycle
• Work with business stakeholders to determine problem areas and overall impact of projects
• Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. Develop plans to move forward the overall Workday strategy for Meta
• Partner with business leaders and People Engineering teams to align on objectives and programs
• Help manage the timelines and deliverables within large, multi-month projects
• Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners
• Drive an overall data strategy for people-related data and Workday’s place in it

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of experience working in Workday
• At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience
• 6+ years of experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors
• 6+ years experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields
• 6+ years of experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and delivering results across multiple stakeholder groups
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Experience in Workday Extend based application implementation & orchestrations
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Enthusiastic about solving complex, system-to-system integration problems
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Proven record of accomplishment of effectively interacting with large sets of internal and external stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
• Experience driving large architectural changes involving Workday and other systems
• Familiarity with Workday administrative functions including tenant configuration, data loads, payroll configurations and maintenance
