Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables, a Sky Climber company, partners with Vestas Americas to offer the TOP Wind Service Technicians program for entry-level wind technicians. The Wind Technician Level 1 role includes exclusive safety and technical training through GWO, with work at local wind sites as part of a service team.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not provide sponsorships).
• Must live within 1-hour commuting distance to job site unless relocating.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field or wind energy discipline.
• Mechanical or electrical background.
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely.
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment.
• Accurately document all work performed.
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures.
• Travel up to 25%.
