Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables and Vestas Americas offer the TOP Wind Service Technician Level 1 position, a structured entry into wind maintenance with exclusive safety and technical training.

Technicians work at wind sites near home as part of a service team, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on turbine generators, with a focus on safe operation and practical skills development under seasoned supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades.
• Verify that the work is completed in accordance with customer requirements.
• Document all work performed
• Report policy or procedure violation
• Submit progress reports
• Repair or replace parts
• Possess knowledge about specific activity tools and use them safely
• Occasionally work independently on a component as part of an equipment maintenance project.
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, equipment, or tooling.
• Travel as required (up to 25%).
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
• Work at heights and in all weather conditions
• Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
