Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables, in partnership with Vestas Americas, offers the TOP Wind Service Technician Development Program (TOP) designed for entry-level technicians. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, safety training, and working with a service team at wind sites near home to ensure safe turbine operation.

Technicians gain accredited training through the Global Wind Organization (GWO), with opportunities for growth, sign-on training, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not provide sponsorships)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field, wind energy discipline, or equivalent technical experience
• Mechanical or electrical background
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment
• Accurately document all work performed
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures
