Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables, a Sky Climber company, offers the TOP Wind Service Technician Level 1 program designed to train entry-level technicians for safe, reliable wind turbine maintenance. Technicians receive accredited GWO safety and technical training and operate within a service team at wind sites near home.

The role supports the development program with hands-on maintenance, basic installations, and documentation, while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not provide sponsorships).
• Must live within 1-hour commuting distance to job site unless actively relocating to the area.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely.
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment.
• Accurately document all work performed.
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures.
