Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables is seeking a entry-level Wind Technician to join the TOP Wind Service Technician program. Technicians perform preventive, scheduled, and unplanned maintenance on wind turbine equipment at sites near home, under supervision from senior staff.

Training is provided on safety, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with emphasis on safe operations and efficient repairs. Ideal candidates are safety-minded, capable of working at height, and willing to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not provide sponsorships)
• Live within 1-hour commuting distance to job site unless relocating
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment
• Accurately document all work performed
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures
