Job summary

FANUC America Corporation is seeking a District Account Manager (Education Market West) to drive sales growth and expand strategic partnerships across education institutions, ESPs, and government organizations within the West region. You will manage direct and ESP distribution, selling education solutions and applications including stand-alone and systems solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related field or equivalent
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a sales position, preferably selling capital equipment
• Technical competency in automation applications with knowledge of robots and CNC applications
• Ability to demonstrate a robot, including operating robot and AV equipment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities within specified accounts or territory including direct selling to schools in coordination with Education Solution Providers (ESP) to meet or exceed yearly sales metrics.
• Own all activities within product segment (Robot, Robodrill, CNC) to meet or exceed yearly targets in units, revenue, and gross.
• Develop and implement strategic selling plans for territory and accounts.
• Manage complex sales situations and deploy company resources to win opportunities.
• Build relationships with key school and ESP personnel at engineering and management levels within accounts.
• Prepare quotations with complete scope of work and drive pricing direction.
• Review proposals with customers to highlight FAC content and competitive advantages.
• Negotiate successful sales maximizing FAC value and outcomes.
• Coordinate with FAC resources to ensure understanding of projects post-sale.
• Participate in kickoff and status meetings to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Solicit customer feedback for product improvements and new offerings to increase market share.
• Maintain monthly forecast and pipeline orders, assist in collecting overdue payments.
