Job summary

The Regional Sales Manager will have an independent area of responsibility while working closely with our global organization. This role develops and executes strategic initiatives to grow sales among existing customers and identifies new business opportunities.

It combines technical solution selling, business development, and cross-functional collaboration across a global, matrix-based organization. This position is regionally based with frequent travel to customer sites across the West Coast;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in capital equipment sales.
• 50% travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies and go-to-market initiatives for pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
• Strengthen relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for account growth.
• Prospect for and develop new customers, markets, and business opportunities.
• Manage the full-cycle sales process.
• Communicate the technical benefits, commercial value, and competitive advantages of solutions.
• Drive sales projects within a matrix organization.
• Set sales goals, establish priorities, and follow through on strategic initiatives.
• Manage, support, and develop customers in partnership with the regional sales managers.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and customer documentation.
• Monitor market developments, customer requirements, competitor activity, and emerging trends within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with customers and business partners.
