Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Manager of Solutions Engineering for Enterprise to build and manage a high-performing team across the West Coast. You will align with sales, product, and engineering to drive adoption of Grafana OSS and commercial offerings, while shaping regional strategy and outcomes.

You will recruit, mentor, and sponsor top talent, balancing field responsibilities with leadership duties in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high tech with roles such as Developer, Sales Engineer/Architect, Manager, etc.
• Direct mentoring and performance management experience.
• Experience in Open Source selling or Cloud-first/Product-led GTM is a big plus.
• Direct experience selling monitoring/data/visualization products.

Responsibilities

• Attract, recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of great Presales SEs from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Lead from the front with a coaching mindset and a player/coach approach to balance field responsibilities with team needs.
• Executive sponsorship of key regional accounts and being a thought leader to customers and internally.
• Direct the day-to-day work based on guidance from leadership, owning region planning and outcomes.
• Partner with Sales leadership on top-of-funnel programs, marketing initiatives, and community events.
• Understand customers' adoption strategies and develop programs/collateral to enable success.
• Ensure customer requirements are met with Product & Engineering collaboration.
• Own quarterly cadence of the team, building pipeline for new-logo targets.
• Own PG plan in partnership with sales leadership to drive pipeline.
