Job summary

MBK Senior Living in California is seeking a Wellness Programming Assistant to support group programs across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and CFL. Working with the Director of Wellness Programming, you will help plan, prepare materials, and lead daily activities that engage residents and foster connection.

The role requires at least 1 year of group-leading experience, excellent English communication, and a valid driver's license for transporting residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 1+ year of group-leading experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and insurance for transporting residents.
• Background clearances, health screening, and TB test within 7 days of employment.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• Proficient computer skills and office equipment familiarity.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with residents to plan and lead programs.
• Escort residents to programs and assist with transportation as needed.
• Prepare program spaces and materials, and document activities.
• Collaborate with volunteers and community partners; use electronic systems for content management and reporting.
• Support administrative tasks and uphold MBK core values.
• Provide backup transportation support when needed.
• Maintain safety and comply with regulations.
• Promote teamwork and open communication.
