Job summary

Oak Street Health in Chicago is seeking a Welcome Coordinator to create an inclusive environment and deliver a positive first and last impression for patients. You will manage check-in, patient forms, and co-pays, while coordinating scheduling in the electronic medical records platform and handling incoming/outbound calls.

The role requires strong computer skills, familiarity with Google Suite, and a professional phone manner.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and basic knowledge of Google Suite.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by the communities we serve.
• US work authorization.
• Experience in customer service is strongly preferred.
• Some college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests.
• Check-in and assist patients with required forms.
• Collecting co-pays and updating patient information in the electronic medical record system.
• Scheduling/rescheduling appointments in the EMR.
• Manage phone lines, take messages and outbound calls.
• Handle faxes in the electronic fax platform.
• Maintain cleanliness of Welcome and Community Room areas.
• May float to other centers in the region on occasion.
• Other duties as assigned.
