Job summary

Oak Street Health in Detroit is seeking a Welcome Coordinator to create an inclusive environment for patients and serve as the friendly face of the clinic, handling front-desk tasks and coordinating operations to ensure a smooth patient journey. This role reports to the Practice Manager and supports a high-touch patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage check-in, forms, co-pays, and EMR updates, coordinate appointments, handle calls and faxes, and help maintain a welcoming

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with basic Google Suite knowledge.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• US work authorization required.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian or other languages spoken by communities served.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests.
• Check-in visits and assist with required forms.
• Collect co-pays.
• Update patient information in the EMR system.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments in the EMR.
• Manage phone lines and outbound calls as instructed.
• Manage faxes in the electronic fax system.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Welcome and Community Room areas.
• Occasionally float to other centers in the region.
• Other duties as assigned.
