Job summary

Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for weekend shifts to support residents in a congregate shelter setting. The role focuses on life skills coaching, safety enforcement, and trauma-informed care to help clients engage in daily activities and adhere to house rules.

The position emphasizes crisis intervention, intake support, and diligent documentation while upholding the agency values of equity and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent crisis management skills.
• Proficient in basic computer software and data collection; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests and the site.
• Enforce rules and regulations to ensure smooth operation of the site.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, document appropriately, and communicate per guidelines.
• Complete the intake process for new guests.
• Provide support and structure, addressing guest/resident problems or concerns.
• Initiate crisis intervention when necessary.
• Record documentation as required by program guidelines.
• Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
