Job summary

Community Teamwork is seeking a Residential Counselor for a part-time overnight shift (Saturdays and Sundays, 12AM-8AM) in Lowell, MA. The role focuses on crisis-informed, client-centered support in a congregate emergency shelter, including intake, scheduling guidance, safety oversight, and daily chores supervision.

Responsibilities include enforcing house rules, responding to emergencies, documenting interactions, and maintaining trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills in basic computer software and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests and the site.
• Enforce rules and regulations to ensure smooth operation of the site.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, document appropriately, and communicate according to established guidelines.
• Complete the intake process for new guests.
• Provide support and structure, addressing guest/resident problems or concerns.
• Initiate crisis intervention when necessary.
• Record documentation as required by program guidelines.
• Uphold the values of CTI – Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
