Zusammenfassung

HomeFirst is seeking a Resident Advocate for Felipe Weekends Only in San Jose, CA. This part-time, graveyard shift role supports unhoused individuals by providing safety, intake, and housing planning services within the Bridge Housing Communities program.

You will work closely with program participants, complete HMIS check-ins, lead weekly workshops, and respond to crises using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifikationen

• AA degree (or equivalent of 2 years of higher education) or two years of field experience in social services.
• Sensitivity to the needs of unhoused individuals.
• Experience working with unhoused population.

Aufgaben

• Direct Client Service (90%) – care, safety, and supervision of participants.
• Check guests in/out of facility using HMIS.
• Complete intake and VI-SPDAT assessments.
• Develop housing plans with participants and support housing goals.
• Lead weekly on-site workshops for participants.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and MHFA techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
