Job summary

HomeFirst is seeking a Resident Advocate for the Mabury/San Jose location to support unhoused adults by delivering direct client services, developing personalized housing plans, and coordinating with on-site staff to provide essential resources. The role includes leading workshops, conducting assessments, and ensuring safety and documentation are maintained accurately.

Qualifications

• AA degree or two years of higher education or equivalent field experience
• Experience delivering client-centered housing or social services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use HMIS and basic computer applications

Responsibilities

• Direct client service and supervision of program participants
• Assist with intake, VI-SPDAT assessments, and housing plan development
• Lead weekly workshops and respond to crises using de-escalation techniques
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure safety; complete documentation and reports
• Coordinate with shift staff and partners to provide resources and referrals
