Community Health Resources is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic. The role supports clients with recovery goals, conducts assessments, and collaborates with the care team to develop individualized plans. Must have CPSRP or Recovery Coach certification within 6 months of hire and a valid driver’s license.

HOURS: Saturday/Sunday 8am-4:30pm; 16 hours/week. The REST Center operates 24/7 as a crisis stabilization program with a focus on trauma-informed,

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health and/or substance use conditions.
• 2+ years working with identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• Certified Peer Support & Recovery Specialist (CPSRP) or Recovery Coach Certification or equivalent; must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Educate and inform on recovery strategies using program models.
• Conduct program-specific assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with program standards.
• Transport clients as required by the program.
