Job summary

Community Health Resources (CHR) is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic, CT. This part-time position (16 hours/week) covers Saturday/Sunday midnight to 8am shifts at REST Center, a 24/7 crisis stabilization program.

The role focuses on recovery support, case management, and collaboration with treatment teams to help clients reach recovery goals. The ideal candidate has lived recovery experience, 2+ years serving target populations, and CPSRP or Recovery Coach

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery required.
• 2+ years working with the identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• Must obtain CPSRP or Recovery Coach certification within 6 months of hire; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating their recovery goals.
• Conduct program-specific assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Provide case management and connect clients to community resources.
