Job summary

Community Health Resources seeks a Recovery Support Specialist for the REST Center in Willimantic. This part-time role (16 hours/week) covers Saturdays and Sundays 4pm-12am, delivering person-centered recovery support and coordination of care within a 24/7 crisis stabilization program.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments, helping clients set recovery goals, and providing coaching and support to reduce barriers to care.

Qualifications

• Lived experience establishing and maintaining recovery from mental health or substance use condition(s).
• Minimum 2+ years working with the identified populations; CPSRP preferred.
• Certification as CPSRP from Advocacy Unlimited or Recovery Coach Certification CCAR or equivalent; must be obtained within 6 months.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying and advocating their own recovery goals.
• Conduct program-specific assessments and screens as indicated.
• Collaborate to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention or de-escalation as needed.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with agency standards.

Education
