Sentara Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse – Physician Practice to join an ambulatory clinic. The role provides nursing care, triage, and coordination with physicians to support chronic disease management.

The RN will administer medications, immunizations, and assist with procedures, while documenting in the EHR and ensuring patient education and continuity of care. This is a fast-paced outpatient setting with variable shifts.

Qualifications

• Ambulatory, clinic, or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• RN license in state with NCLEX-RN completion required.
• BLS certification required; AMB-BC certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Support population health outreach and disease prevention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked clinical environment.
