Sentara Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for a Physician Practice in Virginia Beach, VA. The role focuses on outpatient care, triage, immunizations, and patient education in a physician practice setting.

The RN will assist with examinations, administer medications, coordinate referrals, and document in the EHR, supporting population health and care continuity. BSN preferred, ADN required, and RN license current in the state.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
• Current RN license; NCLEX-RN; BLS required; Ambulatory Care Nursing (AMB-BC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Manage patient messages and results within scope.
• Support population health outreach.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked clinical environment.
• Document care in the EHR.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
