Sentara Medical Group is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse – Physician Practice for a remote weekend day shift schedule (Sat, Sun, Mon, 7am–7:30pm). The RN provides care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic, triages patients, assists with exams, and administers meds and vaccines.

Qualifications

• ADN is required; BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years of ambulatory/clinic nursing experience preferred.
• Strong skills in ambulatory assessment, triage, patient education and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients in person and by phone and coordinate care.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations and provide self-management education.
• Document care in the electronic health record and support population health outreach.
