Sentara Medical Group is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for a Physician Practice, with weekend remote shifts (Sat-Sun-Mon, 7am-7:30pm). The role focuses on ambulatory care, triage, and care coordination in an outpatient clinic setting.

The RN provides nursing care, assists with procedures, administers medications, educates patients, and supports population health outreach, all while documenting in the EHR and ensuring a safe clinical environment.

Qualificações

• An ADN is required; a BSN is preferred.
• 1–2 years of ambulatory, clinic, or medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred.
• Current state RN license is required; NCLEX-RN exam passed.
• BLS certification is required; AMB-BC certification is preferred.
• Skills in ambulatory assessment, triage, chronic disease management, immunizations, and patient education.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients and triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
• Manage patient messages and results within scope.
• Support prevention and population health outreach.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked clinical environment.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
