Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse – Physician Practice for a remote-weekend coverage role in Virginia Beach, VA. The Nurse provides care in a physician practice/ambulatory clinic, including triage, education, and coordination with physicians and staff.

The role requires an ADN (BSN preferred), 1–2 years ambulatory experience, active RN license, NCLEX-RN, and BLS certification, with a focus on safe, efficient outpatient care and patient education.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years ambulatory/clinic nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license and NCLEX-RN completion required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines; provide education.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up; document in EHR.
