Sentara Medical Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for a Physician Practice setting. The role emphasizes ambulatory care, triage, patient education, and coordination with physicians to support chronic disease management.

You will perform nursing assessments, assist with procedures, administer medications and vaccines, document in the electronic health record, and help run the clinic safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• ADN is required; BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years ambulatory, clinic, or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the state; NCLEX-RN passed; BLS required; AMB-BC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person and by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations and treatments.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up and continuity of care.
• Manage patient messages and results within scope.
• Support population health outreach and preventive care.
• Maintain a safe, clean, stocked clinical environment.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
