Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Coating Assistant to support the Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions function. You will set up and run coating machines, apply adhesive to liners and substrates, and maintain a cleanroom-like workspace. The role covers both wet and dry ends with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include line setup, process data entry, and collaboration with the coating team. The shift is Friday to Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm, with opportunities to contribute to continuous

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Fluency in English, basic math and reading skills, mechanical aptitude.
• Preferred: prior manufacturing or machinery exposure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coating machines for release liners and substrates.
• Handle wet and dry ends of the machine and maintain cleanroom appearance.
• Assist with changeovers, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
• Enter data into the computer system and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Alert supervisor to any quality issues or machine malfunctions.
• Support the coating team to maximize quality, safety, and efficiency.
