Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Coating Assistant to support the Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions function in Alpharetta, GA.

You will set up and operate coating machines, applying adhesives to release liners and substrates, keeping a clean room appearance, and ensuring quality from start to finish on a 6am–6pm Monday–Thursday schedule. Responsibilities include machine prep, material handling, data entry, changeovers, and safety‑driven maintenance.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent GED.
Fluency in English both verbal and written, basic math and reading skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to use measuring devices.
Preferred manufacturing experience & exposure to machines.

Responsibilities

Clean coating machine for process prep and ensure product quality to specification.
Prepare raw materials (adhesive, solvents, additives, liners) and handle equipment safely.
Enter data into the computer and ensure inventory accuracy for each job.
Set up and operate wet or dry end and other coater functions as needed.
Assist with changeovers, cleaning, maintenance, and machine troubleshooting.
Ensure material for subsequent jobs is prepared at the machine.
Lift and position pumps (32 lbs) into adhesive drums; observe safety.
Be at the machine 10 minutes before shift; communicate shift activities clearly.
Alert supervisor to any quality issues or machine malfunctions.
Maintain cell and department housekeeping; maximize efficiency and safety.
Participate in continuous improvement and ISO procedures.
Assist coating operators on tasks and perform other duties as required.
