Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Coating Assistant to support the Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions function. This role operates coating machines, applies adhesive to release liners and substrates, and manages wet and dry end process.

The successful candidate will work a Friday-Sunday 6:00pm–6:00am shift, maintain a clean room appearance, assist with changeovers, and comply with safety and quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic math and reading skills; mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coating machines, applying adhesive to liners and substrates.
• Prepare raw materials and handle materials safely with equipment.
• Enter job data and maintain inventory accuracy in the system.
• Perform machine changeovers, cleaning, and simple maintenance.
• Assist coating team to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Prepare materials for subsequent jobs at the machine.
• Improve housekeeping and organize the workstation for safety.
• Follow ISO procedures and participate in continuous improvement.
