Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials, seeking a Coating Operator to support the Sustainability and Adhesives Solution Function. This role covers full-scale setup and operation of coating machines, handling adhesive materials and ensuring quality through both wet and dry ends.

The position emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and teamwork. Responsibilities include data entry, inventory checks, changeovers, and training of new operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; fluent in English; basic math and reading skills.
• Experience with coating machines and measuring devices is preferred.
• Strong data entry and computer skills for data capture and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Set up coating machines to achieve specified adhesive thickness and width.
• Prepare materials and position for coating process at the machine.
• Operate and monitor both wet and dry ends of the coater.
• Enter data into the computer system and ensure inventory accuracy for each job.
• Perform machine changeovers, cleaning and simple maintenance.
• Maintain clean room appearance and safety while on shift.
• Train new operators and assist with standard operating procedures.
• Assist with general department housekeeping and teamwork.
