Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Coating Operator to setup and operate coating machines, applying adhesive to release liners and substrates. The role requires attention to quality, safe handling of materials, and accurate data entry to ensure inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, operating wet and dry ends, performing changeovers, and maintaining cleanliness in a controlled environment. ISO procedures guide daily work and continuous improvement participation is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic math and reading skills; mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices and data entry.
• Good computer skills for data entry and job tracking.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up coating machine and apply adhesive to specified thickness and width.
• Prepare raw materials and arrange for proper material handling.
• Operate and monitor wet and dry ends of the coating machine; perform changeovers and basic maintenance.
• Enter and verify data into the computer system; ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support cleanliness and housekeeping to maintain cleanroom standards.
• Assist with training and process improvements as needed.
