Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams from planning through design and construction support. You'll manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with clients and subconsultants to deliver high-quality drainage, floodplain, and stormwater projects.

You will mentor junior staff, help shape business development efforts, and present project status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited program.
Texas Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
7+ years of drainage engineering experience.
2+ years of design oversight and training junior staff.
Experience in TXDOT drainage design and TXDOT standards.
Experience with Open Roads Designer, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of water resources projects from planning through design and construction support.
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk-adverse scope and fee.
Develop project plans and quality management plans; create and maintain schedules.
Mentor junior staff and lead project status reviews and client presentations.
Support marketing, proposals, and interviews; lead as technical advisor.
