Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to head the water-damage team for residential and small commercial losses in the Town of Florida, NY. The role requires hands-on supervision, moisture assessment, and use of extraction tools according to IICRC standards.

You will train and mentor junior technicians, coordinate field operations, and ensure safety and quality across projects, including occasional night and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must hold IICRC WRT designation and knowledge of S500/S520 standards.
• Familiar with BELFOR Water Damage procedures and moisture-mapping tools.
• Experience supervising small crews (up to 10) on residential/commercial losses.
• Ability to read floor plans and document moisture logs.
• Demonstrates sense of urgency and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Direct the water damage team and ensure proper PPE.
• Review project requirements and report progress to managers.
• Provide field documentation and moisture maps.
• Inspect vehicle safety and maintain equipment.
• Travel as needed and work nights/weekends.
