Job summary

BELFOR Franchise Group is seeking an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to lead a residential and small commercial water damage team. You will apply IICRC standards, operate moisture detection tools, and coordinate on-site drying projects while mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities include reviewing project needs, documenting progress, maintaining safety and equipment, and ensuring timely completion within budget. Occasional travel and after-hours work are required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard
• Possess current IICRC WRT designation
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book
• Proper use of meters and IR camera; differentiate affected vs. unaffected materials
• Ability to sketch, read floor plans, and document moisture data
• Understand air mover calculations and drying goals
• Experience supervising small crews up to 10 people

Responsibilities

• Direct teams in using the correct PPE
• Review daily project requirements and document progress
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts, and sketches for projects
• Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain equipment
• Comply with BELFOR standards to protect property
• Demonstrate strong customer service and professional conduct
• Travel at times and work nights/weekends as needed
• Record time worked and materials used accurately
• Attend required BELFOR operations and safety trainings
