Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to lead a residential and small commercial water damage team. You will apply IICRC S500/S520 standards, supervise up to 10 technicians, and document moisture data with specialized meters.

You will manage field operations, ensure safety, and travel as required, including night and weekend shifts. Strong English fluency and driving eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proper use of meters and IR camera; understanding materials.
• Ability to draw sketches, read floor plans and document moisture data.
• Understanding of air mover calculation and LGR dehumidification.
• Mastery of HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter and data recording.
• Experience with truck mount extraction systems and troubleshooting.
• Supervising small crews (up to 10) on residential/commercial/industrial losses.
• Eligible to operate a vehicle per BELFOR policy.
• Sense of urgency, professionalism, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the Supervisor.
• Direct teams in PPE usage.
• Review project daily requirements and document progress.
• Provide field documentation, photos and sketches for projects.
• Inspect vehicle safety and maintenance daily.
• Adhere to BELFOR standards to protect property.
• Demonstrate customer service excellence.
• Meet deadlines under time constraints.
• Travel and work at night and weekends as needed.
• Accurately log time and equipment usage.
• Attend BELFOR operations and safety training.
